Marie-Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) «Patterns and surfaces»

This web page is dedicated to Marie-Curie IRSES «Pattersn and Surfaces». This European Commission supported programme is aimed to promote student and staff exchanges between 10 international leading research institutions:

  1. 1.University of Lille 1,

  2. 2.University of Bordeaux,

  3. 3.Bugaziçi University,

  4. 4.Technion,

  5. 5.University of Florida,

  6. 6.McGill University,

  7. 7.Tokyo University of Science,

  8. 8.Japanese Space Agency

  9. 9.Moscow State Institute of Radioengineering, Electronics and Automation (MIREA)

  10. 10.Wave Reseach Center of A. M. Prokhorov General Physics Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences.

The proposed project is concentrated on collaborative research in the area of Technology – Based Thermal-Fluid Mechanics between specific institutes and universities in the MS/AC countries and specific universities and institutes in the third countries, United States, Canada, Russia and Japan. The focus area in thermo fluid mechanics is multiphase flow associated with interfaces where these interfaces lie between two fluids or fluids and solids. This field plays a vital role in many key technologies in the 21st century with a very large impact on the world economy. Examples of such applications are fluid based bio-sensors, drug delivery and energy conversion devices, and environmental and outer space enabling technologies.
